GAISER
GAISER is a trailblazing force in minimal and experimental techno. His deep, hypnotic grooves and immersive sonic textures have defined a distinct sound that bridges precision engineering with raw human pulse.
Originally from Michigan, Gaiser’s early years were spent behind a drum kit—playing in punk bands while studying orchestral percussion. A life-changing encounter with Richie Hawtin at a Detroit DJ set introduced him to the world of techno, sparking a passion for sound design and composition that would shape his career.
During his time in Detroit, Gaiser immersed himself in the city’s vinyl culture and joined Hawtin’s legendary M_nus label, quickly becoming one of its core artists. Later relocating to Berlin, he continued shaping his own unique style. His debut album Blank Fade (2008) was a landmark in atmospheric minimalism, praised for its depth and precision. Subsequent album releases—No Sudden Movements (as VOID), False Light (2014), and III (2017)—expanded his sonic vocabulary while remaining unmistakably his own.
In 2023, Gaiser and Hawtin teamed up for a groundbreaking remix of Depeche Mode’s “Wagging Tongue,” further cementing Gaiser’s cross-generational influence. Known for his meticulous sound architecture, he creates evolving soundscapes that fuse analog warmth with digital clarity—his performances unfolding as living, immersive compositions.
With releases on M_nus, Cocoon, and Sci+Tec, and standout sets at ENTER., CNTRL Tour, Movement Detroit, Time Warp, Sonar, Awakenings, Loveland, Tomorrowland, and Space Miami, Gaiser continues to push the boundaries of techno, crafting music that is both deeply cerebral and profoundly physical.
