MAIKE DEPAS (born Michelangelo De Pasquale) is an Italian hard techno DJ and
producer whose music transcends the typical boundaries of the genre, blending euphoric
elements from 90s rave, hard techno, and psy-trance. Born and raised in Milan, Maike's sound
is known for its raw, boundary-pushing energy, and his technical precision is a testament to his
classical training in composition and piano at the Milan Conservatory.
Maike’s career began at a young age, quickly developing his boundary-breaking approach to production. Drawing inspiration from underground icons like Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, I Hate Models, and Kobosil, Maike honed his craft over the years, refining his signature sound that combines power, hypnotic grooves, and intricate details.
Last year, Maike redefined his artistic vision through an audio-visual overhaul, showcasing his dystopian aesthetic through electrifying performances such as his live set at Berlin’s Teufelsberg, and collaborations with designers like Demobaza. Maike’s artistic evolution is also reflected in his ‘Sexy Devil Horse’ EP, released at the end of 2024 via Maike Depas’ own label - The Innovation Studio Records (TIS), a label aimed at pushing the boundaries of techno music. The label serves as a platform for both emerging and established artists, fostering a community that values originality and innovation.
